Meet the Team

Amanda brings years of experience in shelters, SPCA organizations, and animal rescue to every intake, evaluation, and placement. She has a deep understanding of the challenges rescue dogs face and a passion for giving each one the opportunity to find the right home.

Andrew is an active-duty United States Marine whose discipline, determination, and commitment help keep the mission moving forward. His dedication extends far beyond the uniform, bringing the same sense of responsibility and perseverance to the dogs and families they serve.

Together, Amanda and Andrew built Because of Bubbles from a small rescue in New Bern, North Carolina, with a vision that reaches far beyond their hometown: to save the dogs others gave up on, tell their stories honestly, and prove that the underdog is always worth fighting for.

What started with a few dogs and a big dream is becoming a rescue with nationwide ambition — one dog, one story, and one second chance at a time.

Outside of Because of Bubbles, Holly owns and operates her own dog-focused business and is certified in canine nutrition, bringing an added level of knowledge and care to the dogs in our program.

At Because of Bubbles, Holly wears a few different hats — from helping manage all things social media to serving as our Adoption Coordinator and helping connect our dogs with the families who are meant for them. She believes finding the right home is about more than simply matching a dog with a person; it’s about creating a lasting, successful relationship for both.

She’s passionate about giving every dog a voice, telling their stories, and helping them get the second chance they deserve.

As our Foster Coordinator, Kayla is the person behind the scenes making sure our foster families feel supported every step of the way. From helping new fosters get settled to making sure they have the supplies, information, and resources they need, she works hard to make sure both our dogs and their foster families are happy, comfortable, and set up for success.

Kayla has quickly become a passionate advocate for rescue and for the dogs who need someone to speak up for them. She understands that fostering can come with challenges, but she also knows just how incredibly rewarding it can be to watch a dog learn to trust, heal, and eventually find their forever family.

Her compassion, dedication, and willingness to show up for both our dogs and our fosters make her an invaluable part of the Because of Bubbles team.
