Adoption
How can I adopt a dog from your rescue?
Visit the Adopt page to review the process and complete the online adoption application. If you have questions, email BecauseofBubbles@gmail.com.
What is the adoption process like?
The process includes an adoption application, phone interview, in-person or virtual home check, meet and greet, veterinarian check, a 10–14 day trial, and final adoption.
What are the adoption fees, and what do they cover?
The adoption fee is $390. It covers spay or neuter, the first month of flea, tick, and heartworm prevention, initial vaccinations, and medical treatment the dog needed before adoption. Medical records and current medication information are provided at adoption.
Can I meet the dogs available for adoption?
Yes. Contact us at BecauseofBubbles@gmail.com or through our social channels to arrange a meet and greet.
Do you conduct home visits before adoption?
Yes. We conduct an in-person home visit when possible, or a virtual visit for an out-of-state home. The visit helps us understand where the dog will live and make the best possible match.
Is there a trial period or return policy?
Yes. There is a 14-day trial period. If the match does not work during that period, the adoption fee can be refunded. After 14 days, the fee is not refundable. A dog who must be relinquished must be returned to Because of Bubbles Rescue and may not be transferred to a shelter, humane society, or another person.
Medical & Behavior
Are the dogs vaccinated and spayed or neutered?
Yes. Dogs are fully vetted before adoption, and no dog leaves Because of Bubbles Rescue without being spayed or neutered.
Do you provide background information about each dog's history or behavior?
Yes. Each available dog's profile includes a summary of personality and history. Contact us if you need additional information before applying.
What if a dog has special medical or behavioral needs?
Known medical and behavioral needs are disclosed in the dog's profile and discussed before adoption. Medical needs are addressed before adoption, and adopters receive current medications and medical records. Behavioral information is shared so we can make a safe, lasting match.
Supporting the Rescue
How can I help if I cannot adopt?
You can foster, volunteer, donate, share our dogs, or contribute supplies. Visit the Foster, Volunteer, and Donate pages, or email BecauseofBubbles@gmail.com to discuss other ways to help.
