The story

When Dobby arrived at Bladen County Animal Shelter in early June 2024, his future was uncertain. He was suffering from a painful skin infection, severely underweight, and in such critical condition that he urgently needed a blood transfusion. Knowing how serious his condition was, I knew we had to act quickly.

Thanks to the incredible generosity, BISSELL Pet Foundation’s Grateful Pet Program gave Dobby the lifesaving care he desperately needed. With medical treatment, proper nutrition, and plenty of love and attention, Dobby began to heal. Day by day, he gained weight, regained his strength, and soaked up all the love he had been missing.
